Pioneering Women in Reconstructive Surgery (PWRS) Leadership Training
Empowering women as leaders can be a step towards global good.
As part of the Pioneering Women in Reconstructive Surgery (PWRS)program, we brought our leadership training to the staff of ReSurge Nepal and their work site, Kirtipur Hospital. ReSurge International is a global not-for-profit dedicated to increasing access to reconstructive plastic surgery in developing countries.
We are proud to share that one of our participants, Dr. Farzana Ibrahim, was recently named a 2019 “Heroine of Health” honoree by Women in Global Health, an organization dedicated to achieving gender equality in global health leadership.
Two of the surgeons who took part in our training, Dr. Pramila Shakya and Dr. Shilu Shrestha, felt it was so valuable that they had us bring our leadership program to the staff of ReSurge Nepal and their work site, Kirtipur Hospital. (Learn more.)
